Previously called Muscular Dystrophy Association Telethon Donors, this list of generous supporters have watched, pledged and donated to the annual MDA Labor Day Weekend telecast, now called MDA Show of Strength, which is televised in over 200 major markets and is viewed by more than 40 million viewers. 75% of MDA donors are over age 50 and 17% are age 41-50. 40% of the file has an estimated HHI of $50,000 or more. MDA donors look to direct mail for their charitable giving, shopping, book buying and magazine subscription needs.
The MDA Labor Day Weekend show is one of television’s most enduring events. This outstanding entertainment spectacular with many of the nation’s biggest stars and celebrities plays a vital role in bringing help and hope to more than a million Americans affected by neuromuscular diseases. This telecast is one of the many fundraising mediums used by MDA.
Once the show wraps and pledges are collected, October is the best time to test this list. With additional updates in November and January your mailer is assured to get the hottest names from this television classic.
